Betty in the House

Well, almost, anyhow.

I saw the new Betty Crocker Gluten Free mixes yesterday at the Albertson’s on Linton and Military Trail in Delray. Too bad I had forgotten my coupon for a free box, or I would have picked one up. FYI, they were $4.19 each, and the yellow cake, cookie, and brownie mixes were in stock. The store didn’t seem to carry the chocolate (devil’s food) cake. (It’s possible it was there and I just couldn’t find it.)

Something I thought was interesting: the boxes were almost identical in design to the Betty Crocker SuperMoist mix line, and the store decided to intersperse the gluten free mixes in among the regular mixes. So it was quite the little scavenger hunt to find them. That is a pet peeve of mine, in case you didn’t know. I hate that not only do I have limited food options, but you are going to make me work for them. Sheesh!

Anyhow, if you are looking for the Betty Crocker Gluten Free mixes in southern Florida, we now have one verified sighting of them. They still are not at my usually grocery haunts, but word is they are starting to filter into the larger stores in the area.
