Chicken Fried Steak!
Actually, this was last night. It was good. It was really good. It was so good, it deserves a mention here.
We followed the recipe for the meat, using cube steak (pre-tenderized for us lazy people) and plain old gluten-free flour mix for the flour. We also cut the ingredients in half, because the two of us can’t eat 2 lbs of meat in one sitting. Well, let’s be honest: we could, but we shouldn’t.
To make the gravy we drew on Carrie’s advice for gluten-free white gravy, and mixed 2 cups of skim milk with the remainder of the flour. Add to the pan and stir gently until thickened. Salt to taste. Try not to eat too quickly.
