Celiac Disease in the News

Check out this excellent article about celiac disease from the New York Times:

A Debilitating Disease that is Often Unknown

This article was mentioned by the Celiac Chicks, and is also the lead article in the latest Digestive Health Smartbrief.

I really like how the article focuses on the positive aspects of going gluten free, like having more energy and feeling younger. I completely agree with the medical director of the US Olympic Committee, who states that if you have celiac disease and follow the gluten-free diet, after six to eight weeks, it’s like the difference between night and day. Or, like in my case, the difference between wanting to die and wanting to live.

Give it a read, share it with a friend!
