Trip Report, part two

Trader Joe’s. How could I forget Trader Joe’s? Of course we stopped at Trader Joe’s in Marietta, GA, just outside of Atlanta. That was a major part of the trip. We deliberately planned our route so as to come through that area on the way home, so our spoils wouldn’t, well, spoil. And I forgot to mention it!

Those of you East Coasters are just getting used to the idea of Trader Joe’s. In fact, the GA outlets are the closest ones to where we live now. A travesty, I know. But those of you who live in the chosen areas, well, you know. You know. And hopefully, someday, everyone else will know.

But in the meantime, yes, we swung through Trader Joe’s, and spent a delightful hour or so wandering up and down the aisles, selecting wines, gluten-free pasta, assorted nuts, olive tapande, mesquite honey, chocolate meringues, and other things. In case you’ve never been, Trader Joe’s is a high-quality gourmet grocery with discount store prices.

There is good news, too: Those that we talked with in the store say that Atlanta is the anchor for the south. Now that everything is in place there, they can filter throughout the rest of the area. Including down the peninsula.

Keep your fingers crossed!
