Tomorrow, July 5, marks the one year anniversary of my journey to health.
One year ago, I took matters into my own hands, and started my own search to find out why I was so sick. On July 5, 2006, I started an elimination diet. I was going to figure out what was wrong with me before it killed me. Nothing scientific had worked, so I decided to look at my diet.
One year ago, I started systematically eliminating known allergens from my diet. Lo and behold, I was right, and the doctors were wrong.
No, I didn’t have hypertension. No, I don’t eat too much sodium. No, it’s NOT ALL IN MY HEAD.
It’s all very simple, really; so simple a mere mortal with no medical degree could figure it out, when all the king’s doctors and all the king’s lab tests couldn’t.
I have celiac disease.
